In Los Angeles:
* The Brothers Helpers
* Holy Cross Community Center
* St. Francis Center
* Las Familias del Pueblo
In Pasadena:
* Union Station
* Door of Hope
* Elizabeth House
* Friends in Deed
* AIDS Service Center
* Foothill Unity Center
* Church in the Park
* Vista Nova Home for the Blind
* Pasadena Covenant Church
* Sisters Chapel

GARDENING

We have installed and maintain a demonstration kitchen garden at the Lanterman House, a California State Historic House in La Cañada. Produce from the garden is distributed to food centers for those in need.
We maintain the garden at the northwest corner of the Angeles Crest-210 intersection.

YOUTH PROGRAMS

We sponsor youth clubs in two communities.
* We founded and maintain the Builders Club at St. Bede School, giving seventh and eighth grade students training in leadership and community service.
* Additionally we sponsor the Terrific Kids Program for sixth graders at St. Bede.
* We sponsor and assist the Key Clubs at St. Francis High School in La Cañada and Franklin High School in the Highland Park section of Los Angeles.

RECYCLING

Recent magazines are collected weekly and distributed to patients and waiting rooms around Verdugo Hills Hospital. Newspapers are collected weekly to support a sheltered workshop in Glendale. Printer cartridges, cell phones, soup labels, eyeglasses, toiletries, and aluminum can tabs are also collected to support various charities.

COMMUNITY SERVICE

Club members take major responsibility for civic events such as Memorial Weekend Fiesta Days and Tournament of Roses Float Decoration. Christmas finds us caroling through the halls of Verdugo Hills Hospital. Annually, the Club presents Hope of America Awards to outstanding Builders and Key Club members at graduation and provides a scholarship to a Hillside School & Learning Center graduate for continuing education.

Locally, the Club also supports La Cañada Boy and Girl Scout Troops, Crescenta-Cañada YMCA camperships, La Cañada Valley Beautiful, the LCF Educational Foundation, the Community Scholarship Foundation, the La Cañada High School Music Department, and the Community Center of La Cañada Flintridge.

Additionally, we support Kiwanis House in Sacramento for families of hospitalized children, the Kiwanis Rose Float, the IDD/PTP (Immunal Deficiency Disorder/Pediatric Trauma Prevention) World Wide Service Project of Kiwanis, International.

SOCIAL EVENTS

Club members meet regularly for interclub meetings, theater parties, a traditional holiday gathering, and Summer Dining under the Stars.
