Member Login - Here are steps for first-time logging into our Kiwanis-AM private website:

  • Open our Kiwanis-AM public website at www.lcfkiwanisam.org
     
  • Click on Member Login at the bottom of the menu on the left.  This will take you to our private website “Portalbuzz Login”
     
  • For first-time logging, click on Register/Reset Password at the bottom of the page to get started.  This will bring up a new screen where you enter your email address.  Upon entering your email address you will then get a screen saying “Check your inbox for instructions on resetting your password”
     
  • Check your e-mail inbox for an email from Portalbuzz.com, subject “Password Reset Request.”  Click on Reset Password at the bottom of the email.  This will take you to the Kiwanis website where you enter your selected password twice
     
  • Next, click on Submit and that will take you to the Kiwanis-AM private website.  Congratulations!  You have arrived. 
     

Kiwanis-AM Private Website

  • Officially known as "Portalbuzz".  Kiwanis International has engaged Portalbuzz, a software company that specializes in providing clubs' website platforms and the software tools for creating and administering public websites.  Portalbuzz also hosts the websites once they are up and running.
  • Once you get in, what does it have to offer?  It is a source for valuable information and website administrative functions for our Club. However, it is not the type of information that should be made public.  Therefore, to access this information requires your password.  Here's a brief summary of what's available within the menu icons on the left:
    • Me - (Click on "Me") and below your name, click on "Edit profile." Once you are in, you can update/modify, etc. your profile.  You can even upload a photo of yourself. To save the changes, go to the bottom of the page and click on "Save"
    • Members - this lists all the members in our Club and their info
    • Calendar - We are not making use of this at present.  Our Newsletter, for the most part, serves as our calendar of upcoming events
    • Meetings & events - not used.  Same as Calendar
    • Committees - not used.  Same as Calendar
    • Email - tool for sending emails to members.   Not currently being used
    • Documents - The documents are listed under File Manager.  This is the place where all sorts of Kiwanis documents and information are accessible for viewing and download by club members.  Accessing the document section makes our Club much more transparent.  So…what all do we have?  Take a look at the Folders at the left.  They consist of:
      • Club Bylaws - click on Club Bylaws to bring up the file, and then double click on the document to bring up the document screen.  Click on the Word icon in the lower left-hand corner to bring up the Club Bylaws in Word, and there it is.  At this point you can read it, download it to your computer, or print it.

      • Financial Statements (click on the [+] to see the sub-folders)
        • Administrative and Budget
        • Foundation and Budget
      • Interclub Participation
      • Long Range Planning
      • Minutes (click on the [+] to see the sub-folders)

      • Policy and Procedure Manual - this provides a very valuable information resource for our members.  It consists of some 34 documents that make up our Policy and Procedure Manual organized into the following subcategories:
        • Board of Directors
        • Chair
        • Club Finance
        • Committee
        • Kiwanis Org Chart
        • Policy
        • Position
        • Task
      • Standing Rules
      • Website Administration - This provides instructions for changing and updating specific information within our public website.
    • Newsletters - used for uploading and publishing weekly newsletters and viewing of past newsletters

    • Admin - this icon serves to allow designated members the authorization for changing and updating specific information within our public website.
